The Garden Diaries: Wins & Fails

The Garden Diaries: Wins & Fails Real backyard gardening journey
Sharing the wins, fails, bugs, lessons & harvests
Growing food, growing through it all, learning one plant at a time.

🌱 Growing your own food is more than gardening—it’s self-care, healthier living, and a reminder that beautiful things take time. Even one vegetable plant in your backyard is something to be proud of. 💚

Start small. Stay consistent. Watch what grows. 🌿✨

🌱 My backyard is slowly becoming more than a garden—it’s becoming a place of peace, growth, and new beginnings. As a beginner gardener, I’m learning that if I want more squash, cucumbers, watermelon, and tomatoes, I need to invite the pollinators in! 🐝🦋🌸

My next project? Filling my backyard with flowers in pots to attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Not only will they help my garden thrive, but they’ll make this space even more beautiful. ✨

One step closer to creating my own little backyard oasis. 🌿💚

🌱 Garden Diaries: Wins & Fails 🌱

One thing I’m learning as a beginner gardener is that every day isn’t a perfect garden day—and that’s okay! 💚

✨ WINS:
🍅 Tomatoes are growing and looking healthy
🥒 Cucumbers are sending out new vines
🍉 Watermelon is stretching and spreading
🥬 Kale and greens are continuing to thrive
🌱 I’m learning something new every day

💔 FAILS:
🐛 Battling cabbage loopers and garden pests
💦 Learning when to water and when to leave plants alone
🌿 A few plants haven’t grown the way I expected
😅 Realizing gardening is a lot of trial and error

But here’s the thing… every fail is teaching me something, and every win reminds me to keep going. Gardening has taught me patience, consistency, and how to celebrate progress instead of perfection.

I’m not trying to be a perfect gardener—I’m just documenting the journey. 🌸

What’s been your biggest garden win or fail this season? Let me know below! 👇🏾 🌱

This morning’s garden check brought a few surprises! 💚 I found new cucumber leaf, watermelon leaf, and so much beautiful growth throughout the garden.

The kale is thriving, the greens are filling out, the tomatoes are getting bigger, and every day there’s something new to discover. As a beginner gardener, these little moments are so exciting because they remind me that all the watering, learning, and patience is paying off.

One of my favorite parts of gardening is seeing the progress unfold day by day. What started as seeds and tiny plants is slowly turning into a garden full of life. 🌿🍅🥒🍉

Thank you for following along on this journey with me. Every new leaf feels like a win! ✨

🌱✨ Garden Diaries: Wins & Fails ✨🌱

I never imagined that a few grow bags, some tomato plants, and a bag of mulch could bring me so much peace.

As a busy mom, life can feel loud and overwhelming. But out here, in the sunshine with my hands in the dirt, I get to slow down. I get to breathe. I get to grow… right alongside my garden.

Some days will be wins.
Some days will be fails.
Some plants will thrive, and some lessons will come the hard way.

But that’s what this journey is all about.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet where we’re learning, growing, and blooming through every season together. 🌸🍅

What’s one thing you’re growing right now?
🌱 A garden
🌸 Yourself

❤️ All of the above

Out here in the heat, staking up my tomato plants, spreading mulch, and building a garden one small step at a time. Some people see work… I see healing. 💚

This garden isn’t just growing vegetables—it’s growing patience, peace, and a softer version of me.

🌱 Beginner gardener here and learning as I grow 💚 Some people see dirt, seed packets, clouds, and buckets waiting for rain… I see patience, peace, and new beginnings. I’m not an expert, just a mom learning one seed, one mistake, and one harvest at a time. Watching my garden journey bloom while I bloom too ✨

Rain clouds rolling in ☁️ Bucket ready 💧 Seeds in hand 🌱 Let’s see what happens next!
