We're pleased to announce the newest members of our team here at LDA. Please help us welcome Andrew Daughenbaugh and Manny Monzon!

Andrew is a graduate from the University of Southern California. He has over 5 years of professional experience and is determined to get licensed in the near future. Andrew loves problem solving and is always looking for the next advancement to discover and expand his knowledge. He is excited to take on new experiences and challenges at LDA.

Manny Monzon has over 8 years of Architectural design experience. He has worked on a wide range of projects including education, healthcare, civil, commercial, hospitality and residential. He is passionate about Architecture and continues to expand his knowledge. He is registered with AIA, NCARB and working towards his Architectural licensure.

A big milestone for the future Lodi Animal Shelter! Our team visited the site to check in on construction progress, explore the emerging spaces, and see the metal framing bring the design to life. This project holds a special place in our hearts, knowing it will soon provide comfort, safety, and care for so many animals. And yes… we even had an honorary “site supervisor” with four paws making sure everything was up to standard 🐶✨

The Ripon Fleet Maintenance Building is completed and designed to support municipal fleet operations with an emphasis on functionality, durability, and energy efficiency. The structure integrates high-performance insulated metal panels, a standing seam roof system, and durable façade materials including horizontal phenolic siding and corrugated metal cladding. Clerestory glazing maximizes daylighting in the service bays, while a clearly defined public entry enhances user experience and site navigation. The building’s layout optimizes workflow for fleet maintenance, storage, and administrative functions.

The new Saint Mary's high school weight room is a dynamic space built for performance and training, with open ceilings, resilient flooring, and bold accents that showcase the school’s identity while energizing the training environment. The entrance to the gymnasium sets the stage, blending clean lines, modern finishes, and the school’s signature green to welcome students and visitors into a space that celebrates movement, pride, and community.

We're pleased to announce the newest members of our team here at LDA. Please help us welcome Cory Abstan and Matt Menendez!

Cory is a licensed architect who earned his associate degree in Design Technology from American River College. Rather than taking a traditional academic path, he trained directly under a licensed architect, completed his AXP through hands-on experience, and studied independently for the architecture licensing exams. Over the past 12 years, he has built a strong foundation in residential architecture and recently joined LDA Partners to broaden his experience with larger, civic, commercial, and community projects. Cory is most passionate about design work that truly aligns with the needs of the client, and he’s excited to contribute to projects that serve the community.

Matt weaves novel design, creative storytelling, and emerging technology to create spaces that inspire and engage. With nearly two decades of experience, he has tackled complex design challenges across civic, cultural, and public spaces. His portfolio features signature, community-focused projects spanning LEED-certified sports venues, evidence-based healthcare facilities, passenger-centric airports, and materially expressive mixed-use developments. A graduate of The Ohio State University and SCI-Arc, Matt leverages tech as a narrative tool in design—from digital fabrication to globally exhibited artwork and pioneering AI integration. His artificial intelligence expertise has earned him spots in Creative Partner Programs and speaking engagements with AIA LA and AIA SF. Across all mediums and scales, his work shares one goal: using design as a lens to shape a better world.
