The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool now uses nanobubble technology as part of its renovation. This system pushes tiny bubbles of gas such as oxygen or ozone into the water. The bubbles measure only a fraction of a micron across. They stay suspended for a long time and attack algae by cutting off its nutrients and oxidizing it.

Crews installed the nanobubbler setup to keep the pool clear without heavy chemicals. It works alongside cleaning efforts to remove dead algae. Officials say it should stop the green growth from returning in the future.

i remember way back when this TWA terminal became the most futuristic airline hub

The atrium of Eero Saarinen’s TWA Terminal at JFK merges architecture and emotion through its dramatic design.
