Club Botanic September plant of the month is Philodendron Gloriosum. This beautiful plant is native to rainforests of Columbia. Unlike most climbing Philodendron, this crawling aroid creeps horizontally rather than climbing upwards. It's famous for it's large, velvety, heart-shaped deep green leaves that feature striking contrast-heavy white veining.
Care-
☀️Provide bright, indirect sunlight.Avoid harsh, direct sun to prevent leaf scorching.
💧Water thoroughly when the top 2 to 3 inches of soil feel dry.Allow excess water to drain completely; never let it sit in water.
🪴Use an airy, chunky aroid mix with perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir.Plant in a wide, shallow, or rectangular container because it is a crawling plant that grows horizontally.
🌡️Temperature & HumidityKeep temperatures warm between 65°F and 85°F.Maintain high humidity above 60% if possible.
