The FFA Annual Plant Sale is rolling along. Don't forget to come in from 8:00-5:00 M-F to help support the FFA. All proceeds go to help students make it to State Convention.

Just a final reminder that the Chili cook off is happening Sunday March 6th. Doors will open at 12:30 for contestants bringing Chili. Judging and eating starts at 1:00 and goes until 3:00. Come out and enjoy all you can eat Chili for just $10.00

SDHS FFA is hosting the annual Chili Cook off March 6th from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm, at the SDHS cafeteria. The price for admission is $10 for all you can eat chili. 12 and under ea for $5, and 2 and under are free. If you want to enter contact Matthew Rider contestants pay $10 but their family eats free.

It may be to early to post about Christmas, but its the perfect time to order Citrus Fruit from SDHS FFA.
Why do we put citrus fruit in Christmas Stockings?
According to one story, St. Nicholas learned of a poor man who wasn’t able to find suitors for his three daughters because he didn’t have money for a dowry. St. Nicholas traveled to the house, and tossed three sacks of gold down the chimney for each of the dowries. The gold happened to land in each of the girls’ stockings which were hanging by the fire to dry. The oranges we receive today are a symbol of the gold that was left in the stockings.

Looks like we are having some technical difficulty with our Fruit sale web page. We should have it fixed soon, but in the meantime feel free to hit up our members for orders the old fashioned way. If you don't know any call the school and ask for the Ag department between 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM, and someone can take your order.

If you are interested in Learning more about Global Agriculture. Agriculture Education, or just want to broaden your horizons this is a fun conference, and it allows you to engage at your own pace. I will say it takes a bit of tech savvy to operate, but they are great at helping.

Thank you for helping us collaborate around global learning related to food, fiber and natural resources.
