Material control
24 years ago, material was easy at PQE. Order it. Install it. One job at a time, daily. Go to the supply house pick it up, go to the job - execute.
Roll forward, now it’s 7-8 jobs a day. Small jobs, large jobs, emergency jobs.
Ordered material for delivery, freighted material, same day pick up material. Multiple suppliers.
Tracking material, back ordered material, van/trailer stock material, warehouse material. Staging material. Returning material.
Accuracy is critical to ex*****on
Communication is critical to operations
Material has become its own operation inside of PQE. Material truly needed “Controlled”.
It’s moments like these when I realize “Wow” look at what we built. It’s like Ferris Bueller say “ if you don’t stop and look around life might just pass you by”
I get laser focused on where I want to go with the company that most of the time, I forget how far we have come.
I’m blessed for what we built and at the same time I know that we will build/grow more. 🙏
