Using a thin layer of wheat straw when seeding bare areas is recommended and has many benefits- it aids in moisture retention, helps prevent new seed from blowing away or being picked up by animals, and can help prevent erosion on slopes. As it decomposes, it adds organic nutrients to the soil, and does not need to be removed. Your mower handles that when it’s time to cut.

Thanksgiving week schedule:
Mowing schedules for the week of 11/24 will run one day early due to Thanksgiving on Thursday, 11/27. Tuesday’s schedule will run on Monday, Wednesday’s on Tuesday, and Thursday’s on Wednesday. This is to help ensure that everyone who needs it is done before the holiday. This week is running as normal, and we’ll resume normal schedule again the week after. Thanks!
