This week with Dana by Design…

If my paintbrush had a Fitbit, it would’ve hit 20k steps a day. 😂 From clouds in the nursery to bold blues in the kitchen, this week was all about taking spaces from “it works” to “WOW.”

What got a glow-up…
A dreamy nursery with cloud wallpaper + blush trim (aka the cutest nap zone ever).
An office with a navy accent wall so those Zoom calls finally look professional.
Kitchen makeover — white uppers + navy lowers + black hardware, with the island and doors tying it all together.
Detailed stairway risers + trim, proving little things make the biggest difference.
Entryway, dining room, and trim refreshed throughout the downstairs for that fresh, cohesive look.

When ordering wallpaper, especially styles that come from overseas, please be aware that delivery timelines are estimated, and recently, we’ve seen delays ranging from 1 to 3 weeks beyond the expected arrival date.

Whether you’re ordering the wallpaper yourself or I’m sourcing it for your project, please keep in mind that delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

So if you’re planning something time-sensitive, let’s talk through all the options and build in a little extra wiggle room!

Well, y’all… the Dana by Design business phone pulled a disappearing act about a week ago. I had calls set to forward like a responsible adult, but apparently the phone had other plans, like sending everyone straight to voicemail island.

If you’ve been trying to reach me and felt ghosted, I promise it wasn’t personal! I’m replacing the phone tomorrow, and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming (minus the Houdini act).

Let me tell you why I absolutely adore what I do. There's a certain thrill in transforming something tired into something terrific, whether it's refreshing, reinventing, or completely overhauling. It's why my business card should probably read "Chief of Change," because every day brings a new creative challenge!

My clients? They're the best. Now and then, one of them will toss me the creative keys and say, "Drive!" Of course, I never go full throttle without a co-pilot. I make sure to align with my clients, brainstorming and bouncing ideas off them before we hit the road on any project.

Consider a recent adventure that began as a mere paint job in a bathroom. You know how it goes, you start with a swipe of the brush, and suddenly you're swapping out light fixtures, rethinking the toilet, and side-eyeing the countertops. It's like pulling a thread and unraveling a sweater!

This particular escapade involved a repeat client, a real aficionado of home makeovers. We've jazzed up everything in their house from cabinets to shiplap walls. I value loyalty, so much that I decided to throw in a bit of extra sparkle this time around. The countertops were showing their age, a few cracks here, some chips there. So, after a good chat with my client, I decided to give them an epoxy makeover on the house, my treat!

The transformation? Absolutely stunning. I can't wait to show you the before and after photos, plus a walkthrough video of the entire process. And because I couldn't stop at just the countertops, I went ahead and stenciled the tile floors too.

I'm thrilled to dive into projects like these and work with amazing people who trust me to spice up their spaces. You folks are the real MVPs of my paint palette!
