Quick Sunday morning sink install. Well, actually 6 sinks.. GC was having a hard time getting the original countertop company to mount the sinks. (since Nov?) Through our network and circle of businesses, this came to us on Friday and we knocked it out on Sunday.

Haven't posted in a long time but we are still here! These lovely little white circles that closely resemble the bottom of a nail polish remover bottle? Yep.. Acetone will do that if given the chance. Luckily this customer had saved our card from a previous job and we got it all looking new again!

Cracked Corian sink? Several options to remedy that, but check this out! Had to disassemble the face frame on the cabinet to get this monster to fit. End result is really nice, and this is one of the highest quality sinks I have ever installed. Customer will love this for years to come! Cleaned up the silicone and buffed this top out. We can save your tops from trash, and you will love your kitchen all over again!

If you know us, you know we don't shy away from much. We enjoy the hard stuff. Check this out! Really nice 5th wheel camper with roll outs galore. I'm pretty sure this was bigger than my first house. One of the rollouts caught the corner of the countertop, and the hydraulics won. Blasted the countertop apart. We got the call and in just a few hours on a Sunday, it's ready for the next adventure! Call us! We got you!

Need a 3rd sink to make food certification? We got you! Done on a Saturday and business was unaffected. Had to modify the cabinet a bit and make sure everything fit. We got you!

Sometimes you have to turn down the jobs that would elevate your game exponentially. I was excited for this one.

Backstory... This sailboat.. understand that "sailboat" is a very general term in this case. The black vertical oblong shape you see is the mast in this boat. Weighs 2 tons. A local ship yard had to pull it and in doing so rested it on the Avonite countertop. Obviously this top was never intended to support that kind of weight. Long story short, this top ended up with about 40 different stress cracks. I got the call because another shop recommended me. (Networking is the most valuable tool. Treat people fairly and we all win). I took my son with me to see if this was fixable. Met the owner, super nice lady from Germany and her little dog. After looking at the damage and talking with her about her timeline, I had to turn this one down. I did so not because I was afraid of the job, but because I was able to be honest with her. First thing I saw was a repair by others several years ago. She was taken back that I noticed it and said that it had bothered her every time she saw it. I believe it had been fixed in the Cayman islands? Somewhere overseas for sure. In most instances this would've been an acceptable repair, but not on a multi million dollar vessel. I've fixed worse than that initial repair last summer and it looked far better.
I told her that because of the severity of the damage I would not promise her that the repairs would inconspicuous. There was no way I could warranty any work I did without replacing that section of countertop. To replace that would easily be a 2-3 week lead time and they set sail on Wednesday. I could've squirted some black epoxy in there, collected a check and never heard from these people again.
Lowcountry Countertop Repairs has a good name. I pride myself on the hard stuff. Most importantly, I pride myself on integrity. I'll be the first to tell you if there is a better option than my services. My knowledge is free and I feel better tonight knowing that this potential customer got an honest assessment of her issue. We talked about other options and I have dug into some research in the next port of call for them.
Side note, my son tagged along with me today and also helped me on a similar job this summer. He learned a lesson in honesty and integrity over money making. Enough to comment on the ride out about how much money that boat must've cost and how they could spend whatever on anything but wanted to fix something rather than throwing it away. He's a smart kid. I didn't tell him that was the most expensive thing I ever set foot in that didn't have a foundation, lol

Got a message on Sunday morning. Lady is a traveling nurse with an adult daughter. Daughter was woken up by a horrible noise that turned out to be the sink! Could you imagine? She called around and was given my name by a previous customer. I had her fixed up Sunday night. We work the weird hours so your life can continue!

P.S. that disposal was heavy and leaves a mark if your unlucky enough to have your face under it when it didnt want to get hooked back up, lol
