It's time for our plant of the week. I know it's a little late! Lol
This week we have the beautiful Trumpet vine.
Trumpet vine is an aggressive woody vine known for its vibrant, trumpet shaped orange,/red flowers that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. It clings to structures with aerial rootlets, making it excellent for covering walls and fences, but requires a sturdy support and aggressive pruning to control its spread. It can be considered invasive in some areas.
Clusters of 3 inch, tube shaped, orange / red flowers appear from May through August. It can grow 60 ft tall if left unattended. It prefers full sun (6+ hours) for best blooms and can adapt to most soil conditions, but don't like to have their feet wet consistently.
This would make an excellent, blooming full sun fine if you need something to cover an area quickly.
We do have some available in the nursery, come by and take a look at them!! See you soon!! π π΅οΈπΈπ·πͺ·π΄πΊ
