All service wires are clear of any vines and tree branches.
Any dead limbs are trimmed away from common travel areas such as driveways and walkways (this includes porch’s patios and decks)
Any trees near houses or structures are trimmed and or removed.
Trees near your home could have the potential to cause damage to your foundation, causing cracks to develop over time, allowing for water to seep through your foundation causing water damage.
These are all factors to take into consideration when looking at the trees on your property.
Trees can be a great source of shade, especially when the weather gets warmer. However there are some things you can do your self to ensure your trees are healthy.
1 Check the base of the tree to ensure the flare of the tree is not covered up. This ensures your tree is getting the most water into its roots, and its extremity’s.
2 check and see if you see dead branches and or foreign growth (moss, liken, grass, mushrooms, or mold) this also includes any holes or cracks.
3 if your tree has multiple trunks also known as leaders or spars, this can also be a good way to check if at eye level to see if there’s any water accumulation, mud, or rotting decay in the splits. At the same time check to see if at the fusion has any deformities such as unusual cracks, or seams. These can be signs that something could wrong with the health of the tree and can be early signs of potential structural problems within the canopy of the tree.
