Did you know that out here at Every Bloomin Thing we have some amazing natural ways to help you deal with those pesky garden pests? 🌿✨

One of our favorite solutions is bringing in the garden helpers 🐞💚 — ladybugs, green lacewings, and beneficial nematodes! We love an organic, natural approach whenever possible, and these little defenders can make a big difference in your garden.

🐞 Ladybugs are fantastic for helping reduce pests like aphids, spider mites, and mealybugs. They’re hungry little helpers and can make a great short-term cleanup crew when you need them most.

🪰 Green lacewings are another garden favorite! Their larvae (often called “aphid lions”) are incredible predators and can help tackle pest problems naturally.

🌱 Beneficial nematodes are a wonderful choice for soil pests like grubs, fungus gnats, thrips, and more. They’re a natural option that works below the soil line to help protect your plants.

Good morning y’all! ☀️

Whew…. it looks like we’ve got another scorcher headed our way! 🥵 Susanville and Chester are heating up, reaching those mid-to-high 90s. We want to remind our garden friends to take care of yourselves while you’re out loving on your plants. 🌱💚

Remember, our garden don’t do us any good if we’re too overheated to enjoy them! Make sure you’re staying cool, taking breaks, wearing your garden PPE, and drinking plenty of water. 💧

Don’t forget the essentials:
🧢 A good sun hat
☀️ Sunscreen
💪 UV protective sleeves like Farmers Defense
💦 Plenty of hydration

If you’re missing any of your garden protection gear, swing by our Susanville location! We’ve got sun hats, Farmers Defense UV protective sleeves, hydration essentials, and even LMNT electrolyte drinks to help you replenish what you lose through sweat. 💦 (Always remember to choose hydration options that fit your own needs.)

And remember… your plants need extra love during this heat too 💦 Even here at the nursery, keeping up with watering and caring for all these beautiful plants takes extra effort when the temperatures climb. Some plants look like they hadn’t even been watered only a couple hours later! So even if you’ve already watered your gardens be sure to check on them and see if anything is drying out extra fast 🥵 they may need another drink.

We wanted to share a special photo today of Charity and Mike on their wedding day because it’s their anniversary! 🥂💍

We also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Milwood Florist & Nursery for going above and beyond to help make their day even more beautiful. The bouquet and boutonnieres were absolutely stunning, and the care, attention, and love their team put into creating those special pieces truly meant so much. 🌸
