Why would anyone willingly make their bedroom look red? 😂
We recently swapped the bulbs in our bedroom and toddler’s room for blue-light-blocking bulbs as part of creating a calmer nighttime routine.
Here are a few reasons we wanted to try them:
✨ May help support your body’s natural circadian rhythm
✨ Reduces exposure to blue light in the evening, which can interfere with melatonin production
✨ Helps signal to your brain that it’s time to wind down for sleep
✨ Creates a softer, less stimulating environment before bed
✨ Can be a helpful addition to a bedtime routine for both adults and kids
✨ Encourages a cozy, relaxing atmosphere at the end of the day
We’re still early in our experiment and definitely don’t have it all figured out (yes, we’re still watching TV at night 😅), but I have noticed fewer headaches lately and our bedrooms feel noticeably calmer.
Have you ever tried reducing blue light at night?
