“FALL IS THE BEST TIME TO PLANT”
Here’s what Carol had to say about this time of year:

“It’s time for my annual reminder. If you’ve been following me for long you know that this is my mantra.

Plant s*x is done for the year, the heat of summer is passing, rains come and soil moisture stays more stable, the sun is still high enough in the sky to keep plants happily fed, but not as scorching as in summer. All this adds up to less transplant shock and plenty of time for roots to get established.”

Now that the ground is finally frozen, it's time to tip all the plants down and cover them up! Doing this minimizes the temperature fluctuation and maintains moisture within the pots. While also ensuring our potted plants stay safe from rodents. Done!

It takes a village!
Thank you to all the friends who came out to help install the new double-layer poly cover for the greenhouse. It was a large and complex mission but it flew by with no major screw-ups!
Now all of Carol’s special plants will be protected.
