MEET TEAM MAGPIE:

Morgan and Alex (Co-Founders) began growing peppers during COVID lockdown. What started as a pandemic-era garden project quickly spiraled into a full-blown obsession. They have grown hundreds of rare pepper plants, experimented with endless fermentation batches, fine-tuned dozens of recipes, and shared with friends and family since the beginning.

Magpie Spice Co. is their labor of love, built seed by seed between busy DC work schedules, and whatever chaos two little girls and one very opinionated American Bulldog named Roosevelt can throw at them.

Erin joined the team as Operations Manager in 2025. When Alex and Morgan’s pepper projects started growing beyond the garden and into something bigger, Erin stepped in to help turn the Magpie adventure into a business. She supports the mission to bring Magpie’s bold, homegrown flavors to your table.
