Earlier this year, Plant Operator Joshua Hicks welcomed his son, Elias, to the family. We recently received this photo of Elias sporting his CWR onesie from our baby box program, and it was too good not to share.

Congratulations to Joshua and his family. We'd say Elias is already representing the team pretty well.

Our crews are installing underground drainage infrastructure near the south end of the Cinco Bayou Bridge as part of the FDOT resurfacing project along Eglin Parkway.

This work is an important part of improving long-term roadway performance, stormwater management, and safety for drivers in the area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone, especially during nighttime operations.

Thank you to our team for their hard work on this project.

CWR is excited to partner with Florida Connect Academy for the BuildHER Florida Summer Camp this June.

The camp is designed for rising 8th–12th-grade girls and gives students the opportunity to learn more about the construction industry through hands-on experiences, industry exposure, and conversations with people working in both the field and office every day.

CWR Daytona recently welcomed approximately 20 high school students from DeLand High School and New Smyrna Beach High School for our annual Construction Career Academy.

These students voluntarily choose to add trade courses into their curriculum, and this event gave them the opportunity to explore career paths in the road and bridge industry.

Throughout the day, students were able to survey, operate equipment, and pour concrete alongside our skilled CWR employees.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these students and help introduce them to the many career options available in construction.

Today, we are honored to celebrate James Palmer from our Pensacola division as he retires after more than 33 years in the asphalt industry.

For nearly 12 years, James has been part of our CWR team as an Asphalt Paver Operator. His dedication, hard work, and years of experience have made a lasting impact on his crew and everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

He leaves behind more than just years of service. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and friendships built along the way.

James will be deeply missed by his crew and the CWR family, but we are grateful he now gets to enjoy this next chapter spending more time with his wife.

A look back at a project right in the heart of Daytona Beach, Florida.

Our crews removed and replaced crosswalks across SR 600 in front of Daytona International Speedway, one of the busiest and most recognizable corridors in the area.

With heavy traffic and constant foot traffic from fans and visitors, this work played an important role in improving visibility and safety where it matters most.

Proud of the impact our team makes on the roads communities rely on every day.
