Progress continues on Interstate 95 in Martin County.

Our crews are paving 17 miles of northbound and southbound I-95 as part of a larger corridor improvement project, and the work is moving well ahead of the original schedule.

The project was initially scheduled for completion in February 2028 and is now projected to finish in January 2027.

That progress takes a lot of coordination. A special thank you to Gerelco Traffic Controls, whose voluntary acceleration efforts have played an important role in helping keep the project moving forward.

We appreciate our teams, Gerelco, and all of our project partners for the work happening every day on I-95.

Nine years and still one of our favorite traditions.

Employees and their families from across the Panhandle recently spent the day together at Shipwreck Island Waterpark in Panama City Beach for our annual Family Day.

Days like this give everyone a chance to step away from work, spend time with coworkers and families, and simply enjoy being together.

As we continue to grow across Florida, our divisions are finding their own ways to bring employees and families together, build traditions, and stay connected.

Please join us in congratulating Michael Gilley on his promotion to Freeport Area Manager.

Michael joined CWR in 2002 as a Foreman and has continued to grow throughout his career, moving into roles as Superintendent and Operations Manager before stepping into his new position as Area Manager.

He is known for being hands-on, approachable, and always willing to help. Over the years, that leadership style has earned the trust and respect of the people around him.

It was great to welcome Congressman Jimmy Patronis to the Port of Pensacola for a look at the Road and Rail Rehabilitation project currently underway.

The visit was a great opportunity to share the work happening on site.

These improvements will play an important role in supporting the Port and the Pensacola community.

We’re grateful to be part of a project that helps strengthen the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and moving forward.

A lot goes into replacing a bridge while keeping traffic moving.

For the US-1 Turnbull Bridge project in Volusia County, our team first built a temporary northbound diversion before removing the existing bridge and constructing the new one.

The work included 135-foot concrete piles, beam er****on, concrete construction, roadway base, paving, revetment and striping. From the first phase to final acceptance, this project came together through careful planning and a lot of work in the field.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring it across the finish line.

Doing your job well matters. Looking out for the people around you matters just as much.

Since joining CWR in December 2024, Andra has earned the respect of his coworkers by taking pride in his truck, driving defensively, and using the radio to alert others to hazards on the road and jobsite. He also brings a positive attitude to work and is always willing to listen, learn, and improve.

We’re proud to congratulate Andra on being named the June 2026 Driver of the Month by the Dave Fons Memorial Fund. This recognition is well deserved.
