Mahan Square

In need of a facelift, the Mahan Square Shopping Center received extensive exterior façade renovations to the plaza buildings. These renovations included removal of the old mansard canopies and replacing them with a more contemporary awning, a bright, new color selection for the brick, and the addition of wood slats to add color and materiality to the elevations. The green accent color, white base and slate accents brings new life to the retail center.

Modern Retail on W. Tennessee

At the site of a former hotel, this retail project showcases a modern mix of metal panels, corrugated aluminum and wood slats that create a unique blend of quality exterior finishes. The project adds nearly 18,000 SF of potential restaurant and retail space to West Tennessee Street, near Florida State University’s campus.

Midtown Reader
Location:Tallahassee, Florida

Situated in the hip entertainment district of Midtown, The Midtown Reader project transformed the front face of what was originally built for the Leon County Sheriff’s Department in the 1970s. The 2-story building was renovated and enlarged in the 1990s for retail, restaurant, and residential use.

In 2017, the residential portion of the building was converted to Midtown Reader bookstore, and added a new outdoor entertainment and dining space. Meant to enhance the style and charm of the existing building, the new porch space added over 900 SF of space for seating and socializing. The existing façade of the building was updated to reflect the addition, which included new storefront glazing for both Midtown Reader and the adjacent restaurant space.

Canopy Clubhouse

The Canopy Clubhouse was built as two distinct areas with a breezeway that connects the gym side of the structure to the flex side of the space. This new construction includes traditional lap siding, architectural trusses at gable breezeway entrances and a large pool at the back of the property. Modern neutral tones and black accents were used throughout the design of the structure. An open interior with gym equipment, seating areas, and windows that provide a view out to the pool makes it easy for families to use the space in different ways.

Also incorporated into the design is a world class pool with zero entry, lap lanes and a play area. Additional amenities include cabanas, fire pit(s), and a kid’s water play and water feature area that ties into the surrounding pickle ball courts, playground, pavilion, and other site features.

Capitol Regional Medical

This urgent care center is a new construction medical facility built to serve residents of Northeast Tallahassee. The 8,000 SF clinic houses exam and procedure rooms, an x-ray room, and offices along with nurse stations and reception areas.
Located at the roundabout at Bannerman Crossing, the Urgent Care Center is the focus of a busy roadway, serving as one of the anchoring corners to the entrance to the popular Bannerman Crossings retail plaza.

Located in Tallahassee, Florida, this 21,000 SF healthcare renovation transformed an outdated building into a bright, modern clinic. The project included 30 exam rooms, a spacious reception and waiting area, nurse stations, and doctor offices. A colorful wayfinding system enhances navigation, while the dramatic new rotunda entry creates a memorable first impression.

A transformation for Momentum Fitness in Tallahassee — this exterior-only renovation upgraded a basic pre-engineered metal building into a contemporary retail plaza. Wood slat siding, large columns, and a fresh industrial gray palette create bold contrast while elevating curb appeal. The new awning structure defines the gym entrance and adds pedestrian-friendly coverage to the storefronts. A simple refresh with modern materials brings this plaza into a new era of design.
