HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE!?

This is just one week of growth since I noticed this teeny watermelon in my modest watermelon patch.

It takes 2-3 moths to grow. I’m in Florida, zone 9b

This is all one plant! One seed that started it all and is now spread beyond the garden bed.

In total I have 9 growing in various sizes…3 big ones, 3 medium (this I count as medium) and 3 tiny…the tiny ones the plant determines depending on resources if it can be sustained or if they just fall off.

GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER!!

and get you hands in some dirt!

My 50% off clearance hydrangeas are going in since the cold front in January killed the plants that were there before.

I use cardboard to suppress weeds, were only 3 weeks in since I did it, it hasn’t had time to decompose so I had to cut out pieces to be able to add the new plants.

Soon I’ll have beautiful yellow and yellow.red blooms all summer. And I didn’t have to spend a lot on plants!!

I AM OBSESSED!

my favorite thing is when a piece of furniture or decor has multiple functions! This ikea PS 2026 lamp adjusts multiple ways.

Which color would you get? Blue, red or yellow?

SHE ALMOST DIED!

In January Florida had a deep winter freeze come through that wiped out most of my tropical plants!

Some of them started coming back but out of 3 plumerias…this one is the sole survivor.

The others rotted from the inside..there was goo 😭

Even after cutting soft rotting pieces from this plant IN FEBRUARY…I wasn’t sure if she’d come back…

It’s now MAY and signs of life are finally showing! New leaves from the tips…though weirdly new leaves from the bottom.

SHES ALIVE! and hopefully this summer we get those nice white plumeria flowers.

The yellow variety were the ones that didn’t make it and the ones whose flowers smelled like being in a tropical island. RIP

in the garden right now I have
Dill ( delicious and keeps away pests)
Watermelon (I only have one plant!)
Tomatoes (another giant plant!)

I CAN DO IT MYSELF!

But sometimes I don’t want to. And I I can just pay someone to shut up and just do it…. It’s not the worst thing.

Every year I tell myself to clean them after the ✨pollening✨ but before the first torrential downpour yet i forget

So my patio floods a bit while the gutters overflow.

Then I grab a ladder to clean all the gutters when the rain clears.

So yes I’d hire it out but I don’t need to live with a man lol

This craftsman 3Ah battery pack and charger have now been claimed by him. I must now ask him nicely to use his tools.

Not to worry he doesn’t have opposable thumbs to work the drill.
