Check around the bottom edges of your home. If water is getting in there, you'll have a surprise waiting for you on the other side (you drywall and floors). Try your best to prevent water from getting in and causing mold/mildew issues.

When the sunlight is hitting your walls, it's as if those cracks never existed. So when you examine, try to do it as close to the wall as possible and when the sun isn't beaming down on it.

Remember - cracks are inevitable. But if fixed early through normal home maintenance, you can keep the worst from happening.

You've heard us talk about sealing all cracks and penetrations...but don't cover the wrong ones! Some penetrations/gaps are on purpose.

Control joints are placed between large stucco areas like this so create a passage way for water that does get behind your stucco. If you caulk the bottom of that, the water stays stuck - and you know what happens after that!
