This was another fun project we were able to take part in for a long time customer. We were contracted to come in and restore the stone foundation of this very old barn in Westminster MD. We got to coordinate with the customer to complete the stone work before the Amish came in to fully restore the barn back to its original charm. It was an absolute pleasure completing this job and we are very happy how it turned out.

This was a fun project in Westminster MD that we had completed. Had the opportunity to install two new Vermont Castings free-standing wood stoves with two new separate class a stainless-steel chimneys. The wood, pellet, gas, service and liner installations are what keep us busy through the winter months until weather breaks and it’s time to start back with masonry and masonry restoration work. Always thankful for the clients and work. But this week we are thankful that the weather is starting to break and become nice. Started a couple masonry jobs this week and we are looking forward to getting through our backlog of masonry projects scheduled. These are a couple more installs we did. Which include both Quadrafire pellet and wood burning appliances. All installed to code with liners as needed and are safe alternative secondary heat sources. These were installed in Sykesville and Westminster. As always, we are grateful for the work but most of all we are even more grateful to be entrusted with the opportunity to safely install products that the customer and families can gather around to share precious memories.

This was another fun project that we were able and fortunate to be a part of in Mt Airy. The customers came to us with a fireplace that had seen better days and wanted to have it covered in stone veneer. The customers loved the new look and how it turned out. Thankful for work and even more grateful for the customers!

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted. I’ll start posting something each week either work or personal related. Regardless, this was a fun project that we got the chance to take on in Sykesville for a wonderful family. The stones are all real stone veneers and each one is a single stone not a sheet. This was a fun project to take on and the dry stack turned out nice. Thankful for the work and even more grateful for the customers!

This was a fun masonry restoration project we had the opportunity to be a part of in Parkton Maryland. Masonry, no matter what it is constructed of needs maintenance just like most other things. We tuckpointed this entire stretch of walkway and steps with new mortar. The before/after photos speak volumes. This will allow the masonry to endure many more years of weather and foot traffic. This was a Quadrafire free standing wood stove we installed in Westminster and the other photo was a custom stainless-steel chimney chase cover and cap replacement in Columbia. It’s not always the bigger jobs with the awesome before/after photos that keep a business running. But it’s the smaller ones like these that keep you going. We come across this a lot unfortunately. This was a job located in Westminster. The owners had some one previously “fix the steps”. As you can see they did a terrible job, brick match terrible, step layout terrible, not really much good to say about it to be honest. We replaced the steps with very comparable brick and it turned out really nice. The customer was very happy with the difference. We’ve been very busy here lately working 6 days a week and to be honest we have not been posting as we should of jobs completed recently. This was a job we completed in Ellicott City MD for a fantastic family. This home the exterior masonry parge work was failing on the home. We were contracted to come in to install wire mesh screening with lord knows how many nails. Then we put a new masonry parge with a light brush finish. Turned out nice and the customer was happy! Saved the best for last. This was a block chimney that was located in Finksburg. We screened and added a new masonry parge. Then poured and formed a new concrete masonry chimney crown. Afterwards the new eldorado fieldledge meseta stone veneers were installed to complete the look. A lot of work but it was sure worth it!
