These are 2 recent projects I have completed for Jody and Pam Solomon. The beams are made from 125 year old heart pine. The main beams are 6"x8" and reach 20' across the ceiling. The support beams are 4"x8" and average just under 8' in length.
The one of a kind hood vent is made from sinker pecky cypress. The curves on the hood were very challenging to create but well worth the effort. The hood does not have any stain or sealer on it. As it ages, the color will lighten slightly.

This is a very solid rustic industrial 9' conference table built for a local business. All of the wood was salvaged from a barn and house originally built in the early 1900s. The beefy legs are 4"x6" beams that were once used as porch supports. The legs are joined together with a 4"x4" using the mortise and tenon method. The table top is nearly 4 feet wide and over 2 inches thick!! The original surface of each board has been preserved which adds fantastic character to this table. All of the nail holes and saw marks are clearly visible under the epoxy/lacquer table top finish.

FINALLY completed this custom buffet! I am grateful for my customer's patience during this project. The buffet is made entirely from antique heart pine, with the exception of the drawer bottom which is birch. The cabinet doors slide left and right to reveal the 2 soft close drawers. The back, sides, and base panels are made from wall planks originating from a house built in the late 1800s. I planed the planks for consistency and cut them for a 'ship lap' construction. The buffet is 84" long, 20 wide, 34" tall, and weighs in around 175lbs! Many late nights invested in this project and worth every minute for me. Currently on display at the Highlands Antique Mall.

I just finished this 7' bench made from antique heart pine. This bench easily seats 4-5 people and is a very solid construction. It is pictured with a 7' farm table in my booth at Highlands Antique Mall. The rustic vanity with doors and barn doors are also newly completed projects.

This small island top was built using antique heart pine . A 4"x4" was made true as possible, cross cut into slices, and laid in a repeating field pattern. I used a propane torch to highlight some of the grain pattern and then coated the entire surface with several coats of marine epoxy. Once cured, the surface received 4 coats of lacquer which were polished to a semi gloss finish.

12' Conference Table made from Sinker Cypress. Sinker Cypress is Cypress that was typically cut in the 1800s and was lost as it was being floated to area sawmills. At the time of their harvest, many of the trees were approaching 1000 years old!! The table was made from 3 slabs from a tree that was estimated to be 900 years old. The tree (log) rested on the bottom of a river in the panhandle of Florida for over 100 years until it was recovered and sawn into slabs in September 2015. It was then open air dried for over 5 months and then dried for 6 weeks in a kiln than I built.
