Final touches! The big urns in the Hartley Garden didn't quite do it for me 😅 I had some leftover Vinca that did it! And a few more white Lantana that look great in these grey baskets! I say final touches, but who knows! 😁

Look how pretty the blue daisies Felecia Amelloides goes with the Blue My Mind! I replaced the spring Stock with Angelonia and kept the Dusty Miller.

My Luminary Opalescence Tall Garden Phlox looks amazing on the third year in the Hartley Garden! Full to part sun, reaching 2'8" h x 2'4" w, and hardy zone 3 to 8. This upright thriller by Proven Winners is disease resistant and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds! The color is amazing and I'm loving this plant for cut flowers!

Spanish Lavender will bloom continuously all summer if cared for properly. Keep dead blooms off regularly, 4 to 6 hours of sun, not too wet but make sure it's not too dry for long, good drainage is really important.

Tips for healthy geraniums that look beautiful all summer long.

Deadhead regularly. As soon as a flower cluster is about a quarter of the way spent, follow the stem to the bottom and cut it off.

Keep yellow and dead leaves cleaned out.

Water regularly. They don't want to stay soggy or dry for too long. Water when the top 2 inches of the soil are dry.

Fertilize regularly. Geraniums do well with a balanced fertilizer combination like 10-10-10 or 15-15-15 once or twice a week. I often talk about 20-10-20 combination. I water mine weekly with this combination. However, this combination needs to be diluted for geraniums. 1/2 tsp for a two quart pitcher of water.

They are best with six hours of sunlight, preferably morning to early afternoon. They will benefit from a little shade in the mid to late afternoon during the heat of the summer.
