The old saying goes “it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind” so I’m going to use that old saying for my benefit. I returned from our vacation with many flowers still in bloom, sooooo, I will be at the Taylorville Farmer’s Market on Saturday September 21. This weekend, I will have the Little Pumpkins 🎃 available for $25.00, and a few bouquets. I will not have my tent set-up cause hubby is harvesting, but will have just a table instead, so get there early, cause old age has caused me to melt in the heat and we don’t want that 😂. Also, these pumpkins are from a previous year, so this seasons will look a little different. See ya Saturday 🎃💐👩🏻‍🌾

Just as I am coming to the end of my flower season the Dahlias start taking off! These were started from seed not tubers, so they look a little different from tuber grown Dahlias. The plus is you don’t have to store the tubers, the down side is they can be any kind of Dahlia they want to be 🤷‍♀️Anyway, these will be available at Milkmaid Mercantile Friday and Saturday and the Taylorville Farmer’s Market Saturday morning, so pick up the last fresh bouquet of the season💐 Thank-You all for supporting my little “ Side Hustle” as my daughter calls it 💐👩🏻‍🌾

All season, I have prayed to Mother Nature to give me a break! I had a plague of Cicadas, followed by drought, then Japanese Beetles, followed by cucumber beetles! Then, because I got my Cosmos planted so late, I ended up with the most beautiful cosmos I’ve ever grown. They are lush and lovely having missed all the drama of the earlier part of the season, so thank-you Mother Nature for this beautiful gift. Also, this week I will have Pumpkins on a Stick in the bouquets. They are actually in the zucchini family but they look like little pumpkins 🎃. Think Fall People🍁🍂So get your bouquets at Milkmaid Mercantile Friday and Saturday and the Taylorville Farmer’s Market Saturday. I will NOT be at the Market the first 2 weeks in September so you have 2 weeks left to get fresh bouquets 💐

I know, I know, I go on and on about these Zinnias but just look at them!!! The fall pastels are The Floret Originals, which are new this season and the HOT summer zinnias are Benary’s from Johnny’s Seeds. Help me decide where I should spend my seed money for next season, warm pastels or hot colors which do you prefer? I will be at The Taylorville Farmer’s Market tomorrow and Milkmaid Mercantile Friday and Saturday 👩🏻‍🌾💐

I love August, not because it’s my Birthday month and by the way, thank-you to all who wished me well, but because the nights cool down and the first glimpse of Fall appears🍁🍂. So this week, I will be highlighting Sweet Annie and Cosmos as flowers of the week. Sweet Annie has a wonderful fragrance and usually ripens as the fall season approaches. I use it as a filler and just because it smells so good. I also use Cosmo s as a filler and I got it planted soooo late that it is just now making an appearance. These Cosmos are Double Click Bicolor Violet, Double Click Cranberries and Rubenza. These will be available at The Taylorville Farmer’s Market and Milkmaid Mercantile, Friday and Saturday and the Market Saturday💐This is also the post to the previous post of flowers and I forgot to add this caption 🤦‍♀️
