Overlooking the Choptank River in Trappe, Maryland, Baystone Retreat uses a performance-driven material palette to define its distinct architectural forms within a demanding coastal setting.

RESAWN worked with GTM Architects to specify NIGIRI charred acetylated modified wood, which wraps the exterior envelope in a layered gray palette. Executing the vision, the build team at JEFFCO, installed OXFORD decking to extend the material palette outdoors, creating a quiet transition to the waterfront landscape.

As a dream summer residence designed by BMA Architects, Jule Pond II showcases MONOGATARI 2.0 shou sugi ban Cypress just yards from the Atlantic Ocean. Extending throughout the exterior and outdoor living areas, charred Cypress filters sunlight through a custom brise soleil while creating a beautiful connection between the residence and its coastal setting. The result is a home designed for every season, but especially enjoyed during long summer days.

At North Boulder Residence, RESAWN worked closely with Mosaic Architects and Interiors and Minted Homes to support a custom exterior cladding solution with a strong relationship between design intent and long-term performance. CUSTOM Cypress was selected to bring a pre-weathered natural tone to the façade while offering the stability needed for the Colorado climate.

Throughout the process, technical guidance around product performance, installation details, and best practices were provided to help the project team move confidently from specification to application. The result is an exterior expression shaped by collaboration, technical support, and connection to the Rocky Mountain landscape.

Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library officially opened on July 4 in Medora, North Dakota. Dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of the 26th President of the United States, the library brings together architecture, landscape, and materiality in a distinctive way.

Designed by Snøhetta, the project features RESAWN exterior cladding in SIOOX, WILLIWAW, and CUSTOM acetylated modified wood. The cladding scope included custom profiles, finish studies, large-scale mockups, bending and fastening tests, and custom millwork developed for a NOVA clip system application.
