This one started as a brand new build—framing was in, but the staircase was still pretty raw with unfinished treads and an open edge at the landing.

🔨 We came in and installed a full railing system to clean it up and make it safe. Went with stained wood for the handrails and newel posts, paired with black iron balusters to give it a solid, clean look without feeling too heavy. The contrast works really well with the bright white walls and keeps the space feeling open with all the natural light coming through.

We took this staircase from heavy, carpeted, and traditional… to clean, open, and timeless.

Out went the bulky wood balusters and worn carpet. In came warm wood treads, sleek black metal rails, and a lighter, more neutral palette that completely transforms the space.

Now the staircase feels like a feature instead of an afterthought—tying the whole entry together.
