Lischer's Overhead Doors will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day so our team can enjoy a well-deserved long weekend with their families.

We will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

Garage Door Myth:
“Garage door springs only break in cold weather.”

The Reality:
Cold weather can put additional stress on garage door springs, but they can break any time of year.

Garage door springs are rated for a certain number of cycles, with one cycle being your door opening and closing. Every time you use your garage door, you're putting another cycle on those springs.

Eventually, normal wear and tear catches up with them, whether it's 30 degrees outside or 100 degrees.

If you hear a loud bang from the garage or your door suddenly feels extremely heavy, you may have a broken spring.

And that's one repair you definitely don't want to DIY!

We love getting to be one of the first finishing touches on a new build!

We completed this new garage door installation earlier this week on a home being built right here in Temple, and now we can't wait to see everything else come together.

There's something pretty cool about being part of a project at this stage and then getting to see the finished home later on.

We hope the homeowners love their new door, and we can't wait to see what they do with the rest of their home! 🏡

The material, number of bearings, and overall quality of the roller can affect how smoothly and quietly your door operates and how long the rollers last.
