Finished up Dan and Polly's epoxy garage floor and their porch concrete coating today. The garage had significant cracks since there were originally no control joints. The porch was in decent shape except for the step that was badly deteriorated.

We grinded. We shot blasted. We filled cracks. We used extra epoxy. And we completely rebuilt the step.

2 long days. Using top notch products that will last a good long time.

It was a real treat getting to know Dan and Polly. Glad they have a sense of humor.

Finished up this garage floor in Prairieton today. Color is Creekbed.

This was a full grind and shot blast followed by moisture v***r barrier epoxy to get to the full 25 psi v***r spec. No flake in the basecoat which reduces that spec to 7 psi, which many contractors do. BTW, MVB epoxy requires shot blasting which many other contractors don't do either..

We came back today and applied a flake coat with polyaspartic and a clear top coat of polyaspartic to get them years and years of a beautiful garage.

Doing Epoxy Garage Floors in the winter can be tricky. It was 22 degrees outside this morning, 28 now. You layer up and go.

Moisture is an issue so we clear all the ice and snow from the project, use a rug at entry points, wipe our feet and keep it all dry.

We are still using Moisture V***r Barrier (MVB) high grade epoxy for the base coat. I would never use epoxy for the top coat, but it is the industry-recognized #1 base coat. We always use polyaspartic for the topcoat.

Restored this old epoxy floor today in Cloverdale with full flake and a polyaspartic top coat. Epoxy makes a great base coat but never a good top coat as it yellows in sunlight and often comes off from hot tire pickup.

Homeowner is overjoyed. That's our goal.
