Because we are all humans…
When we are going to start a job we always need to know if the client wants to keep or definitely remove:
✅ Drapery hardware
✅ Towel holder
✅ Toilet paper holder
✅ Blinds/shades/drapery
✅ Electrical/internet boxes
✅ Holes for nails/screws
We don’t do the job of removal any hardware, it’s just that sometimes is “easy to do” and we include it but even removing these little parts is a big responsibility.
When we work with professionals of renovations/contractors, they notify us if the design includes changing any of these hardwares. In this job, the contractor is a very busy person that forgot to tell us they were going to get rid of the existing drapery hardware.
This room has 5 windows. When we were doing the 5th one, the client got into the room and told us they were going to replace the drapery hardware in all the windows…Can you imagine our faces??? All the clips were trimming around 🥴🥴🥴🥴
It was an awkward moment because the client thought they had to replace all the wallpaper strips involved and when I told her (to avoid the client and the contractor from having a bigger problem) that I can fix it….guess what??? She thought it was going to be a square of any color of the wallpaper over each hole 🙄. Well, I can’t blame her…she was very upset with them.
I said that I’ll call her to come a see the repairs when I finish and when she came back to the room, she couldn’t believe everything was looking like nothing happened…no holes, no scratches, no stains, no cuts!
When you love what you do and you’re experienced, you’re able to solve a setback in the best way! You become unstoppable!
Thanks God for giving me this skill and the ability (which is sometimes a weakness) to empathize and stay loyal with the people around me ❤️
