Lead Based Paint (LBP) is present in many pre 1978 homes and buildings. Many contractors avoid projects in pre 1978 construction because of this and the special licensing requirements associated with working LBP.

Recently, I obtained this license in order to better serve our customers. LBP projects require slightly more care but for the most part is what a good contractor would be doing anyway - keeping a work area clean.

As a firefighter, I used TIC (thermal imaging technology) ALL the time. It was used to search smoke filled homes to find victims and to keep firefighters safe navigating those spaces.

Thermal Imagers give you a lot of information about your home and other things. I knew a TIC was going to become an important tool when I started this business and purchased one soon after I’d made that decision. Sure enough, it hasn’t disappointed!

Here is a picture of a TIC image I took at a client’s house this last winter. She had mats that were suppose to keep her driveway from icing up, but they had failed. I was able to use the TIC to help her fight for her warranty and to show the company where the mats had failed.

One of the ways I can help you to make your home more comfortable is to use our TIC to identify where your home could use more insulation or to stop air movement.
