Oh what a beautiful sight! Fresh load of horse manure. Red wigglers are indigenous to horse manure piles- they say when you’re lucky you can find them in only 1 of 40 piles. None in this load as too fresh. But, I’ll be adding this to my worm bins and piles to feed the great composting worms called Red Wigglers!

I have been so amazed! I’ve had so many requests for composting worms this winter. I put my worms to bed during the fall. I cover them with extra leaves, cardboard and horse manure. When it’s 30-40 degrees here in The Dalles Oregon the worm production slows- the worms stop eating as much and cease to lay many eggs. But come spring I’ll get these gloves back on and fill your orders.
