Hi. As you know, we will be experiencing hard freeze conditions the next few nights. Ideal water pipe bursting conditions. Hopefully you have started taking precautions to protect your house. Here are a few tips to help prevent any damage to your water lines.

-cover/insulate all outside exposed pipes
-once temperatures drop below freezing run a pencil lead sized stream of hot and cold water until freezing temperatures rise.
-to help conserve water you can run your faucets every three hours for a minute or so and then turn your water back off and repeat until freezing temperatures rise.
(The flow of water will prevent your water system from freezing)
-also, if you have a pool turn on circulation pump until freezing temperatures rise.

Hopefully this helps, but if your water lines do burst don’t hesitate to call/text.

With this freezing weather on the way, here are some tips to hopefully help prevent your pipes from bursting:
1. Cover/insulate your outside exposed pipes.
2. Once the temperature gets to 27 degrees let
water trickle from one of your faucets.
3. If you don’t want to waste the water, you can turn
a faucet on every 3 to 4 hours for a minute or
two to relieve any pressure building in your pipes
until the temperature rises above freezing.
