GHC is truly honored to have served as the architect for the restoration and reopening of St. Eloi Catholic Church. This project came with many challenges, but seeing so many people come together to help bring this beautiful church back to life has been incredibly meaningful. The commitment shown by the Diocese, parishioners, congregation, local community, design team, and contractor made this moment possible. We are proud to have been part of restoring a place that holds such deep meaning for so many.

Things are really starting to happen at St. Amant Primary School!

The structural steel is up, framing is underway, and the building is officially coming to life. There’s nothing better than watching a project move from plans on paper to something you can see and touch. You can finally start to feel the scale, the spaces, and the excitement of what’s coming together.

We’re thrilled to see this project taking shape and can’t wait to share more progress as construction keeps rolling. Stay tuned!

GHC is grateful to our friends at Nicholls and the Bridge to Independence Program for the opportunity to help design these incredible new spaces. It’s been an honor to be part of bringing this vision to life!

This project was completed thanks to Colleen Hunter and Jeannette Guillory Thomason, who each donated $500,000 to the Nicholls Foundation to support the program. Both women made these contributions in honor of their late husbands.

We are excited to be a part of this amazing project, and to be able to work with the Lady of the Sea and the Lafourche Parish Government!

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Lafourche Parish Government and Lady of the Sea General Hospital are happy to announce a $10 million dollar investment into South Lafourche for the new Lady of the Sea Medical Clinic in Larose! Parish President Mitch Orgeron spearheaded this project which is being funded by our CDBG Hurricane Ida allocation. The new clinic will replace the current 40 year old clinic in Larose.

Once complete the new Lady of the Sea Medical Clinic in Larose will further expand the Family Medicine and Behavioral Health presence within the Larose community and will allow Lady of the Sea to introduce new services into this clinic location. The Lady of the Sea Community Pharmacy #2, currently located within the Rouses supermarket in Larose, will be incorporated into the new clinic along with pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy services which will be provided by the Lady of the Sea Outpatient Therapy Department. Lady of the Sea is also planning to expand the care footprint to include dental services and is looking to bring back specialty care to their service district in the Larose clinic by partnering with local healthcare organizations and groups. Prior to Hurricane Ida, Lady of the Sea General Hospital partnered with specialist services which included Oncology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Dermatology. Lady of the Sea has begun early conversations to partner again with providers of these services and have had discussions about exploring other specialty service lines as well.

The design partner for this project is Gossen-Holloway-Cortez Architects. They were previously the architect partners for Lady of the Sea Medical Clinic in Cut Off, and they will also be bringing in Moliere Chappuis Architects to assist them. Early design and development meetings have already begun; the Parish is anticipating the final completion of this project around August or September of 2027.
