👇 All of this goes of course for here on the X side of our businesses as well ☺️👍
As a quick reminder: Hopefully all of my followers and supporters already know and I’ve made clear over the years, but my business/es is/are apolitical. Please be assured that no money you choose to spend with me has ever nor will ever be used to support political parties, candidates, or campaigns.
Not only have I personally *always* been staunchly registered as Independent and essentially forever politically homeless, but I also just do not at all personally believe in [or trust] giving money to politicians or political groups, no matter the level. I just think that whole concept of blatant monetary influence is [obviously] antithetical to what a good democracy and honest representation in government should be.
If you’ve asked in the past, you know I even refuse to display political yard signs of any kind, whether I personally feel strongly about the person/issue or not, because my businesses are not political, divisive spaces (not to mention I also loathe the waste involved with all the plastic signs anyway).
I recently realized this is something I, as a consumer, would appreciate confidently knowing about a local business I may be supporting before potentially feeling guilty or ashamed/disappointed that my money may end up going toward something or someone I worry is the exact opposite of positively supporting my local community, economy, environment, etc., which is the whole reason it’s so important and meaningful to support local small businesses whenever we can in the first place, so just putting it out there for your information & consideration. Your money is safe here as far as never being purposely or knowingly funneled into any political game.
My business/es do and will continue to directly support local causes/nonprofits, youth teams or opportunities, animal welfare or environmental conservation efforts, etc., things that I feel clearly and truly benefit our overall community as a whole, which is *never* any sort of surface level political campaign.
If anything, NovelTree might be considered by some to hold somewhat of a moderate political stance when it comes to the environment and the related practices and values I promote here, but even then I would argue that environmental care and responsibility isn’t/shouldn’t be political at all, and that working to do better in this area directly benefits not only all people despite politics, but all life on Earth at the most basic and important level.
But, I digress… Just hope everyone can feel confident that supporting us equates to indirectly supporting the greater *Us*, with no worry of indirectly buying into the political games of the day.
Something really important that jumped out at me this Spring while working over at X, was the number of customers who specifically told me that they *trusted me*. They were there and made a purchase or decision because they trusted my advice or review or whatever it was, and hearing that, especially multiple times over a short period, was so extremely meaningful and impactful and validating to what I truly strive for as far as my customer service and reputation and how my business/es operate. So I hope you also know that I absolutely do my best to carry that responsibility and trustworthiness beyond the field and lot, and into our local communities and “real world”.
We’re all in this together ✊ Team Perry County, Team Ohio, Team Human, Team “Be Real, Choose Real” 😉
Thanks for reading and for being here, every single one of you! Can’t wait to welcome you back to the farm in November ✌️💙🌲
