Custom black aluminum slat gate with matching side panels for this home in Thousand Oaks. Horizontal slats, powder-coated, and custom-fabricated to fit the opening — tied into the existing black fencing so the whole run reads as one continuous line instead of a bolt-on. We set it up with a mechanical keypad — no batteries, no charging, just punch the code and go — plus a magnetic catch that holds the gate open so it never swings back into the wall. "It’s been a month since Westlake Dream Gates created and installed our custom gates (main gate and a second dog gate) and we are still incredibly happy with the decision to work with WDG for this project. We wanted to go with something sleek, modern, sturdy, eco-friendly, and different from the typical vinyl product in order to update the well-worn wood gates we had before, and WDG delivered on all of those fronts and then some.

Because everything is cut-to-fit on-site, Chris and his team worked with us during the installation process to ensure we got the gate designs we wanted along with managing the specific constraints that the walkway presented for this project. They were able to accommodate last-minute design needs without compromising the end result.

And the end result has been great! Our family and neighbors have been giving us compliments about it ever since the install! The soft-close feature on both gates has been fantastic in that the gates don’t slam shut, reducing the noise that slamming typically makes while preserving the lifespan of the gates—something the old gates could have really benefitted from. Both gates were also equipped with kick down door stoppers, which makes it a breeze for the pool guy to get his equipment into the backyard without banging the gates in the process.

We highly recommend WDG, Chris, and his team and will definitely be in touch when we decide to update the remainder of our property’s fencing."
