When you have one of the largest flooring selections in the Mid-Atlantic, you need one.

But having thousands of products at our fingertips isn’t what makes this showroom different.

Knowing which one to pull is.

After more than a century in the flooring business, we know that choosing the right material goes far beyond finding a color you like.

We know which hardwoods will handle dogs, kids and real life. Which carpets will actually perform on stairs. Which natural stones require more maintenance than you might expect. Which products look beautiful on a sample board but behave very differently across 2,000 square feet. And which installation methods can make or break the finished project.

Our showroom gives designers, builders and homeowners access to an incredible breadth of hardwood, carpet, tile, stone, luxury vinyl and specialty flooring.

But you don’t have to sort through all of it.

Our job isn’t to show you every option.
It’s to know enough about every option to show you the right ones.

We sell flooring and we don’t think you should choose your floor from a sample this small.

A sample is useful. It tells you the species, texture, finish and general color of a product.

What it doesn’t tell you is what 1,500 square feet of that flooring is going to do to a house.

Across an entire room, you start to see things a small sample can’t communicate: undertones that suddenly read warmer, cooler, pinker or more golden; natural variation from plank to plank; how different lengths and widths change the visual rhythm of a space; and how the floor shifts from morning light to afternoon sun to artificial lighting at night.

And with natural hardwood especially, variation isn’t a defect. It’s part of the material.

That’s why at Floors Etc., our process doesn’t stop when you pick a sample. We review every flooring order when it arrives and before installation begins, looking at the actual material, overall color range and variation so there are no surprises once hundreds of square feet are on the floor.

Because flooring is too important to the overall design of your home to make the decision based on a few inches of wood.

The sample tells you the product.
It doesn’t tell you the room.

“We recently had Floors Etc install new porcelain tile in our foyer. It is absolutely beautiful and the entire process was flawless.
Matt, our sales representative, spent all the time necessary to answer our questions and provided a variety of sample tiles. The overall price he quoted was very competitive and fair. He even stopped by our home to check on the progress. James, the project manager was fantastic as well providing excellent communications and visitations to the work site making sure that we were satisfied with the profession of the installation.
