All Keys Lost?

I receive calls once a week from customers who have lost their only key to a vehicle. This can be frustrating not to mention expensive to generate a new key. The cost is between $155 to over $500 depending on the vehicle year, make, model and key type.
I would guess most of us don't think about getting an extra key made until we have lost all keys. Having a extra key can save a $$$ bundle not to mention a headache. There's really only a couple choices a customer has at the All Keys Lost point. Either way the process is similar, (1) tow your vehicle to a dealership or call a professional locksmith, (2) a physical key needs to be made and duplicated to an emergency key located in key fob or copied to transponder key, (3) key or Fob must be programmed to the vehicle's computer. This process adds up to high cost.

$49 ea. for a cloned transponder key that will work just like the original, requires no programming.

$99 ea. for a transponder key. This price includes the OBD2 programming to the vehicle computer.
