A little charm for the laundry room. 🤍

I have one of these rustic hanging wooden racks in my own laundry room, and it's become one of my favorite details. I use it to gather empty hangers and hang clothes to dry.

It's a beautiful alternative to an ordinary closet rod—practical, full of character, and proof that even the most hardworking spaces deserve a little thoughtful styling.

Because function can also be beautiful.

A little reinvention. A lot of history. 🌿

Once the beautifully turned legs of an antique desk, these three pieces have found new life as one-of-a-kind candlesticks.

Their timeworn green finish is completely original, carrying more than 60 years of character. We simply added candleholders and a few chocolate velvet bows to dress them for Christmas.

Proof that sometimes the most beautiful things aren't made new. They're simply given a new purpose.

A little history, a little character, and a story or two. 📖

Old books are one of our favorite ways to bring warmth and personality into a home. Their worn covers, faded lettering, and beautifully aged pages add something that new décor simply can't replicate.

Stack a few beneath a favorite vase, tuck them into a bookshelf, or use them to add height to a collected vignette. Mix different sizes, textures, and shades for a look that feels gathered over time rather than perfectly arranged.

And the best part? They don't have to match. In fact, we think they're more interesting when they don't.

A collected home is a storied home. 🌿

The Heart of a Collected Home 🤎

When I think about pieces with stories, I think of a dear neighbor from my childhood. She was one of the most elegant and gracious women I've ever known. She and her husband traveled the world, filling their home with beautiful treasures gathered along the way.

These gorgeous ladies sat in her home for more than 40 years. Today, those very pieces, along with others from her collection, have found their way to Urban Meadow.

And that's what makes these pieces so meaningful to me. They're more than vintage finds. They've been part of someone's life, surrounded by memories, conversations, and moments we'll never know.

The stories don't end when a piece changes hands. They simply continue.
And that, to me, is the heart of a collected home.

Some of our favorite finds were never meant to decorate a wall at all.

These vintage copper molds may have begun their lives in the kitchen, but the warmth of the copper, richness of their color, and beautiful textures bring unexpected character and interest to a gallery wall.

Paired with timeworn frames and softly muted landscapes, they're proof that a collected wall doesn't have to be filled with traditional artwork.
