We'd like to introduce you to local veteran and contractor Jason McCaffrey of Midwest Remodeling Co.!
Local veteran and contractor Jason McCaffrey is the owner of Midwest Remodeling Company based out of Toronto, Kansas. A Topeka, Kansas native, Jason moved to Silver Lake in 2006 and then finally made the move to Woodson County in 2023. While doing work previously in Woodson County, he decided that the community, people, and lifestyle offered here would make it the perfect place to relocate to. With help and encouragement from friend and fellow Marine JJ Edwards, Jason began his search for a home. After moving to the Toronto area and meeting many great local people, Jason is confident that this will be home for the rest of his life. He is a proud member of American Legion Post #13 of Yates Center and enjoys being an active member of community life in Woodson County.
Jason has 2 children, a 23 year old son, Tucker, who lives in Topeka and works for the United States Postal Service, and a 19 year old daughter, Lauren, that is currently attending K-State studying dietetics and kinesiology. Jason retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2015 with 21 years of service, having been stationed in Japan, Kuwait, and Iraq, along with multiple locations in the United States while serving in 14 different positions throughout his career in the Marines. Jason achieved and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant (E-7).
With construction experience beginning at a young age working nights, weekends and summers, Jason brings 35 years of experience to Midwest Remodeling Co. From working in residential painting and carpentry, to owning and operating Midwest Remodeling Co. and completing countless jobs as General Contractor for new home construction along with the construction of metal barns, shops, additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, decks, and residential fences, Jason has the knowledge and certifications to bring your project to completion with full satisfaction.
Jason received his General Contractor’s License for the City of Topeka in 2006 and maintained it until his move in 2023. He has also received certification from the Kansas Building Industry Works Compensation Fund in Lead-Safety Work Practices and is a P3 Certified Contractor via SIKKENS Wood Finish Company. Jason continues to participate in continuing education classes annually to keep up with the latest code and building compliances along with new building trends and products offered. To date, he has achieved a total of 49 hours of class work along with certificates from each class he has taken.
