The secret behind those rich, lasting colors? Plants. 🌿

For centuries, Persian rug dyers have used pomegranate rinds, indigo, madder root, and walnut husks to create colors that only get more beautiful with age. No synthetic shortcuts β€” just botanical alchemy passed down through generations.

Our latest video reveals the natural dyeing secrets behind the world's most coveted rugs.

Every rug has a hometown. πŸ—ΊοΈ

Kicking off a new series we're calling Where Your Rug Comes From β€” five slides, one weaving city at a time. We're starting with the one that probably shaped your idea of what a Persian rug looks like: Tabriz.

Tucked in the northwest corner of Iran, Tabriz was a Safavid capital and a stop on the ancient Silk Road. It's where Persian weaving reached its technical peak β€” and it's still the gold standard today. A central medallion anchoring the field, Herati and floral detail spilling through the borders, and knot counts high enough to make the design feel almost painted.

We have 40+ in-stock Tabriz rugs right now, including the 7'3" Γ— 10'3" piece on Slide 4.

Swipe through β€” then tell us which weaving city we should feature next. Heriz? Kashan? Kerman? Drop it in the comments. πŸ‘‡

And if you already have a Tabriz at home, share a photo β€” we love seeing where they land.
