Called "Soft Washing" this is the preferred method for deeper cleaning and avoiding high pressure water damage. TWO TON'S PAINTING
EXTERIOR HOUSE WASHING SERVICES
Tony Solesky started in the painting trade right out of high school in 1978. Pronounced - "Two Tones", as in Two Tony's, joined by his Uncle Tony Cilipote in 1986, together they formed the Towson based Two Ton's Painting. Today, U
ncle Tony has long since retired. With the advent of exterior composite building materials and sidings, there is less and less calling for exterior painting. Manufacturers labeling these materials maintenance free however, is a bit misleading. It is more realistic to say these products don't need painting. They are not maintenance free surfaces. Modern materials still get dirty and are equally subject to dirt, mold and mildew growths as well. Today, composite materials (except for fading), are much more resistant to the effects of time. In most cases, it is only a matter of washing them to reveal the existing luster of your siding and restoring the beauty of your home. Power washers are often too excessive for simply removing surface grime. The excessive forces from water blasting can both damage and allow water intrusion behind lap joints and siding. This can lead to unseen growths forming under and behind the siding. Hand washing followed by a gentle rinse better mimics what your home is engineered to handle . Hand scrubbing and rinsing is the least aggressive, protects against the least water intrusion and is the most effective method to achieve a superior result. Absent the ladders needed to get the dirt, mold and mildew, cleaning your homes exterior is as basic as washing your car. We keep it simple, using either a dirt , mold and mildew cleaning agent such as TSP or a diluted solution of water and outdoor bleach applied with RV scrub brushes, elbow grease and a gentle rinse with a garden hose.
