Wishing everyone a happy and safe Independence Day 🇺🇸 We chose to put our support behind our local fire departments this month. Between the holiday parties and fireworks, this is a busy time for them. After meeting with each department, we truly realized how much they give up to volunteer. These amazing people have full-time jobs, yet they give up weeknights for meetings / training, weekends for paperwork, and leisure time for emergencies. They really need our support to continually upgrade equipment and keep things afloat with the shortages of EMTs and ambulances. Please consider lending your support ~ You don't know how much you need them until the time comes. Stay safe!

This Father's Day is an extra special one here at Gerasimek Tree Service. We're celebrating our 60th year as a family business. My father started the business in 1965 as a side hustle to his 9 to 5 as a means of supporting our family of 7. I worked by my father's side beginning at age 13 and here we are (me at age 53 and my dad at age 87).

I'm so grateful that he's around to see what has changed (technology) and, most importantly, what hasn't changed (the customer-first mindset and community relationships he started).

Without his example, I wouldn't be where I am today. I still work for many customers who hired my dad years ago --- those full circle moments bring so much joy to my days. I'm thankful to have had a role model like him.

Our advanced equipment enables us to access locations that are simply too risky, difficult, or inaccessible to other services. We cleared this fenced-in ravine of all dead trees and cleaned up everything that had fallen. Lots of trips in and out of the ravine but we do what we have to for our valued customers!

We've been busy removing dead and hazardous trees along Kane Rd with the newest member of our "tree" family - a smaller version of our Tree-mek crane called : The Mini-mek! It sure makes quick and safe work of dead trees covered in poison ivy.
