Things have slowed down for the season but I'm getting my front mounted snowblower put on the tractor this week... finally. This one was a real monster. 3 foot thick dead White Oak. Too dead to rig off of, so each piece had to be cut and thrown. There was a bunch of landscaping under it to miss which was tough but we did it.

Oak trimming season is usually November-April, due to Oak wilt. If you need Oaks trimmed, or trees removed that are right by Oaks, the only time to do it is in the winter. Give me a call at 231-715-1416 and we can get you on the schedule for this winter.

This large beech tree appeared healthy in the summer. There are buds all over the branches. Even so, due to beech bark disease, this tree failed during the windstorm the other night. Unfortunately, all beech trees this size present hazards, as they are all susceptible to the disease, and homeowners should consider removing a tree like this. It's pretty amazing this deck wasn't smashed (my dad built it years ago!)
