TC War Room

Northern Michigan's only full service game store. Our game room is always free to use! The new TC War Room has expanded in size.

We now have available 6 wargaming tables, enough space for 20+ card players, a painting, modeling, and hobby station, and a large coffee table for those that like roleplaying games! We cater to all levels and types of gamers. We stock a large selection of board games, dice and dice games, roleplaying games, and tabletop miniature games. We also carry tabletop terrain, hobby, and miniature paint, h

obby brushes, and tools. We feature the largest selection of in-stock Games Workshop products of any store in Michigan! We also carry a large selection of Magic the Gathering boxes, boosters, and singles. We buy, sell, and trade Magic all the time! We feature regular game nights for different systems. Our Hobbit potluck for our King of the Mountain event last night was an absolute blast! 🍻

Folks started showing up around 6pm, with dinner kicking off around 7, and then pizzas arrived for supper closer to 8pm — because Hobbits need their meals! 😂

We had a whole range of grub from the Shire and other lands, an awesome “build your own dirt worms cup” bar, and even had some Hobbits dress up for the event!

Thanks again to everyone who came out last night! I heard a LOT of people asking about hosting more Commander potlucks, and you better believe that’s going to happen!

Nothing beats getting together, slinging some Commander, and absolutely stuffing your face with your fellow nerds.

Folks, we pulled off our largest night of Commander at Tank Space on 8th yet! We had 10 pods going for most of the night, and that big ol’ empty space just needs a folding table so we can squeeze in an 11th! 😂

We’ve really built something special with this group. Nearly 90% of the players are returning faces who have been coming back since this thing started sn*******ng in January.

We’ve even managed to turn our little corner into a satellite store inside their satellite location, which has been pretty dang cool. It’s also helped us get packs, and card orders into people’s hands when traffic to the shop has been nasty lately. So even when folks can’t make it to the store, we’re still finding ways to get the goods to them!

We’re seriously considering making our Sundays a little more organized and/or finding a way to add another weekday meetup into the mix. There’s clearly an appetite for more Commander!

It’s been tremendous watching this group grow and, even better, seeing the friendships and bonds that have come out of it. So thanks to everyone who keeps Tank Tuesday alive and thank you Oakwood Proper Burgers for keeping our guts full and the chocolate peanut butter shakes flowing!

Howdy all you beautiful nerds and nerdettes! We have a couple exciting announcements!

#1 - We are now accepting trade-ins for Riftbound singles! While it might take a moment to establish a variety of singles on our TCG website, we have quite a big bulk collection at the store to dig through and finish your decks up! Which brings us to our next update:

#2 - With the increase in trade-ins and increase in Traverse City's TCG popularity, we are increasing our trade-in value to 60% cash and 70% in-store credit! We love having you all come in and show off your awesome cards and we want to help give more back!

Come on in Tuesday-Sunday to trade some cards in to us and perhaps finally pull the trigger on starting your first Riftbound deck as well!

We only received a limited number of boxes, so we’ll be selling them by the pack only, but we’re keeping them at MSRP as always with standard rotation sets!

We've got our next exciting MTG event around the corner! We'll be hosting a Hobbit-themed potluck for our Heart of the Mountain event on Sept 6th!

If you've attended any of our previous commander parties, these are always a blast, and Wizards adds some fun twists to their set-themed events.

With this being a potluck, we ask that if you plan on attending to bring a dish to pass so there is enough food for all the Dwarves to eat.

Today we have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that we still don’t have any Hobbit products available (except accessories).

The good news is that we have a restock on the first two Riftbound sets! These will be limited to 6 packs per person and we’ll see you all for Nexus Night tonight.

It's that time of the week for Tuesday Tank Space on 8th Commander!

Folks show up around 5-5:30pm to register, and pods randomize around 6pm. We have timed rounds and packs for each pods winner. Come enjoy their cool AC and even cooler drinks!

We'll be here till they close at 10pm.
