We're looking for Greenhouse & Nursery Assistants for the 2025 season. Applicants would perform general maintenance of plant material, help with potting up, watering, spacing
out, weeding, fertilizing, deadheading, stocking, disposal, cleaning and organization of the greenhouse and retail spaces, helping customers, assisting with unloading plant material from deliveries, pulling orders, tying up plants, and loading outgoing deliveries. Greenhouse assistant will primarily deal with houseplants, annuals, and vegetable seedlings, and should have the ability to lift up to 15 to 20 pounds. Nursery Assistant will primarily deal with perennials and woody plants (trees and shrubs), and should have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of relevant plant material/products strongly preferred. Should have a friendly customer service attitude, ability to stand/walk hours at a time, must take direction of specific plant needs of plant material placed in their care.
We prefer full-time seasonal help with 40 hours a week, but will consider part time (24 hours or more) for the right applicant for our business. Weekend work is required with some flexibility. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour and quick advancement will be determined by your qualifications and job skills.
