A beautiful heart pine porch we installed to replace an old rotting porch. The heart pine came from a 275 year old reclaimed barn beam, which we then milled into posts, spindles, railings, risers, and treads to create a beautiful porch that will last for generations. Credit and a huge thanks to David B. Nagle for providing these beautifully milled pieces to make this porch.

Once all the pieces were complete, we began install, then stained and painted. The treads were stained with Benjamin Moore stain, and the rest was painted with high quality Sherman Williams white paint. The last step is to install the custom made post caps.

We love doing projects such as this, because it brightens the demeanor of your home, and will last for over 100 years. We work with the best custom carpenters, and we ensure that every piece that is made, is to the absolute highest standard of quality. Here at Heavy Oak Restoration, we refuse to use cheap materials that will fade away in less than a decade. Rather, we custom make each of our projects, whether it be a tread for a porch, replacement windows, or new trim, down to your exact specifications so that generations of your family will enjoy quality craftsmanship for all of your wood projects.
