Well, here is is! 14 hours of love and labor went into creating the most challenging and intricate design I’ve ever burned into wood.

This piece is so personal to me. For the last year and a half my family has been acclimating into a new community within our Marine Corps family, and I am so honored to have created this sign for the EOD Warrior Foundation auction. I have grown to respect the sacrifices of all of our service members, but this group particularly is that “special kind of crazy” that you can’t help but admire. As I heard someone say last night “these people run toward the thing everyone else is running away from.”

God’s been teaching me a lot lately about contentment. What may seem incredibly monotonous to some is actually my most relaxing pastime. Slow and steady. Breathe in thankfulness; breathe out peace. Life’s too short not to enjoy the monotony sometimes.
