Let’s Talk About the Mess We Leave Behind

🌟 A story that touched my heart this week 🌟
I recently got a call from a sweet older gentleman who had been taking care of his wife for years as her health declined. After her passing, life got more challenging for him. One day, he fell while home alone. The ambulance took him to the hospital, but his lunch was still on the table when he left.
Almost two weeks later, he was greeted with an overwhelming roach infestation when he finally returned home. He told me his out-of-state daughter had found me on Facebook, and he reached out because no one else was willing to help him… simply because he had cockroaches. 💔
So, I went over. We got his home bug-free and tidied up his pantry, bringing some much-needed order back into his space.
When it was all done, he tried to pay me, but I kindly refused. Sometimes, doing the right thing doesn’t come with a price tag. But don’t worry—we have a lunch date planned at Chick-fil-A (his treat)! 😊
This was a powerful reminder that you never really know what others are going through. A little kindness can mean the world to someone who feels like they’ve been forgotten. Let’s all strive to be a light in someone’s life. 💛
