Woodpecker season is officially here
The job: installing woodpecker deterrents high up on the structure — about 40ft up on an aluminum extendable ladder.
Woodpeckers aren’t just noisy. When they start drilling into fascia boards, beams, or cladding, they can cause real structural damage over time. They’re usually looking for insects, creating nesting cavities, or simply marking territory, and the repeated pecking can quickly turn into costly repairs.
That’s where deterrents come in.
These are small, lightweight reflective devices that move with the wind and create flashes of light and subtle motion. Woodpeckers dislike unpredictable reflections and avoid the area without being harmed. It’s a simple, humane, and highly effective way to protect the building before the damage escalates.
High‑level work — literally — but worth it to keep the structure intact and the birds safe.
