Just completed this kitchen and butler pantry for Jay and Erica Clark. Definitely one of the most unique projects I have done to date.
We will start the description with the kitchen We demod all the cabinets and tops and removed all the electrical out of the backsplash areas. The new design had us installing all new multi colored, cabinets up to the ceiling, a new hood, as well as the beautiful marble counter tops and marble oven backsplash. The sink walls were a simple, subtle, grey subway tile. All selected by Erica. We changed the island lighting, installed under cabinet plug molding, and under cabinet lighting (no plugs and switches in walls), and painted the ceiling, walls and trim a fresh new color. The crown above each set of cabinets was a challenge, changing colors in the corners.
The butler pantry started the same way with demo of the cabinets and electrical in the backsplash. The uniqueness of the room started taking place as we installed black cabinets, painted the ceiling black, the walls black, and the trim black. The counter tops were the same marble as we used in the kitchen and the backsplash was a black decorated glass tile. The 2 slender cabinet’s have glass fronts and are lit from above. And we installed under cabinet lighting and plug molding. We also installed an under cabinet fridge and ice maker to complete the package.
Both rooms had their challenges. When it was all said and done though, I stood in awe of how it all turned out. Very unique and beautiful!!
Thanks to Southscape Construction, One Stop Plumbing, Wentzell Cabinets, and Maranatha Stone and Floors for their parts in the project. My biggest thank you goes to Erica who allowed us in her home and had to put up with the challenges of the project and also had to put up with me and the subs every day.
