Weird...
It's the last weekend of May, but it's not Memorial Day weekend. I know it happens from time to time, but it just feels...weird.
Maybe that's why you get a recycled picture. An overhead shot of the Pink Vinca Unicorn Bucket. Act fast, I only have one! ?The other photo is the result of my last big indoor project - wrestling apart my big Philodendron squamiferum. She was due for repot and refresh and I realized I had three going in this pot. The dilema - do I sell them as is, or do I try to find something cool, and big enough, to pot them in. Right now they are 18" and 23" soil to tip.
Stop by this weekend at the St. Philip's Plaza Market, from 8am until noon and let me know what you think. Maybe buy a Unicorn Bucket, or something else for your home, landscape, or patio.

YES, the St. Philip's Plaza Market is OPEN this weekend, and YES I will be there! If you're having a "staycation" instead of leaving town, YOU should be there, too!
Looking for something special? How about a big, mature Sansevieria scimitiformis? At 28' from dirt to tip, this is a big, mature specimen plant. Just put it in a larger pot because when I pulled it out of the greenhouse it had split. You WILL be getting a new stem soon! Five years in the making, these are SLOW growing and NOT readily available.
Looking for a deal this weekend? I've got Mystery Canna and Daylilies. Started a little late, but catching up fast, I've got 1 gallon pots priced at $10 each, or 2 for $15! Of course, I will also have my ever-changing selection of indoor, outdoor, patio and landscape plants.
So, come on down Saturday, Sunday, or both days and have a little staycation at the St. Philip's Plaza Market. It's cheaper than driving to San Diego, and with the money you've saved, you can but some cool plants!

Kinda feels like a "Meh" kind of weekend. Mother's Day is past, Memorial Day is next weekend (YES!I will be at the market), so what do you do? BUY PLANTS, that's what!
What kind of plants, you ask? What kind do you want? On any given weekend you can find indoor, outdoor, landscape and patio plants at Chubby's Garden. Like those pictured below. (The cacti are from my prop stock that opened too late to get in on the photo dump earlier.) I WILL have some pink Trichos, as well as a couple white ones, Canna, Philodendron, Pothos..the list goes on and on! AND, it's going to be "cooler" this weekend! Remember, we start at 8am for the Summer and the mornings are still beautiful. The earlier you shop, the better selection you will have...until Sunday morning, when I will be restocked and ready to go again!

Did you know that Memorial Day Weekend is also "Take Your Succulents Camping Weekend"?! I THINK I read that somewhere. Heard it on the radio? Maybe on the internet?
Anyway. This little pair is already kitted out for a long weekend in their blue enamel camp mugs! Make sure you pick them up this weekend so you can get them the rest of their gear for the big holiday weekend!
